තිස් වසරකට වැඩි කාලයක් මුළුල්ලේ සාමාන්‍ය ජන ජීවිතය භීතියට පත් කරමින් රටේ සංවර්ධන ක්‍රියාවලියට බාධාවක් වූ කුරිරු ත්‍රස්තවාදීන්ට එරෙහි යුද්ධය නිම කිරීමට, ශ්‍රී ලංකා ඉතිහාසයේ නොමැකෙන සටහනක් තබමින් අදින් වසර 12 කට පෙර අපේ රණවිරුවන්ට හැකිවිය.

යුද්ධයේ මුල් දින සිට අවසානය දක්වා තම ජීවිත පූජාකළ සහ නන් අයුරින් තුවාල ලබා ආබාධිත තත්ත්වයට පත් වූ රණවිරුවන් සහ එම පවුල්වල සාමාජිකයින් ඉතා ගෞරවයෙන් සිහිපත් කරමු.

ඔවුන් සියලු දෙනා ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය හදවත් තුළ සදා අමරණීය වනු ඇත.

சரியாக 12 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இன்றைய தினத்தில் இலங்கை வரலாற்றில் ஒரு அழியாத அடையாளமாக, 30 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக சாதாரண மக்களின் வாழ்க்கையை அச்சுறுத்தி, நாட்டின் வளர்ச்சி செயல்முறைக்கு இடையூறாக இருந்த மோசமான பயங்கரவாதிகளுக்கு எதிரான போரை நம் போர்வீரர்களால் முடிவுக்கு கொண்டுவர முடிந்தது. 

போரின் ஆரம்பம் முதல் இறுதி வரை தங்கள் உயிரைத் தியாகம் செய்த மற்றும் காயமடைந்து ஊனமுற்றவர்களாக இருக்கும் போர்வீரர்களையும் அவர்களது குடும்பத்தினரையும் நான் மரியாதையுடன் நினைவில் கொள்கிறேன்.

அவர்கள் அனைவரும் இலங்கையர்களின் மனங்களில் என்றும் அழியாதவர்களாக இருப்பார்கள்.

12 years ago, as an indelible mark in the history of Sri Lanka, our war heroes were able to end the war against the brutal terrorists who terrorized the lives of citizens for more than 30 years and hindered the development process of the country.

Let’s respectfully remember the war heroes and their families who sacrificed their lives from the early days of the war to the end and were severely wounded and disabled.

They will always be in the hearts of Sri Lankans!
